I find myself procrastinating a lot these days, I make plans and then I just get lazy. Hopefully I will be able to stick to my list InshaAllah. Here goes...
- Memorize Surahs- currently memorizing Al-Adiyat, theres one ayah that is defeating me in this one
- Read More Islamic books - currently reading Misconceptions on Human Rights in Islam
- Study Arabic lessons and practice vocabulary
- Read Makkan Chapters of the Quran (Focusing on these first, reading in English of course)
- Practice reading Quran in Arabic
InshaAllah I will complete these and update my list from time to time, some items will always be on the list as on-going activities.
Oops....I forgot to add- Exercise
- Eat healthily
- Cut down on TV time
As Salaamu 'alaikum,
ReplyDeleteMashaAllah what a beautiful blog! InshaAllah you'll memorise a lot of the Qur'an and inshaAllah all of it :). I find listening to a particular Surah over and over again whilst at the same time reading along. I have memorised at least 8 Surahs this way Alhamdulilah.
Find a reciter that you like and download their recitation. Try this site: http://www.mp3quran.net/eng/
May Allah make it easy for you :) Ameen.

Wa alaikum salaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
ReplyDeleteMashaAllah, I got the blog background from http://www.thecutestblogontheblock.com/
JazakAllah Khair for the quran recitation website, I'll be sure to share it with my friends InshaAllah.
I particularly like recitations by Mishary Al-Afasy, I find his recitations so soothing MashaAllah. Alhamdullilah his recitation of the entire quran is available there.
Shukran for your advice, I have been listening to the surah over and over and will definitely try reading along also InshaAllah.
Shukran for your dua, Ameen.
